Questions
About physiotherapy
What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy uses assessment, hands-on treatment, movement and exercise to help you move better and do more of your everyday activities.
What problems can physiotherapy help with?
Common reasons people see us include back, neck, shoulder and knee pain, sciatica, stiffness, and recovery after an injury or operation. If you're not sure whether physiotherapy is right for you, call or WhatsApp us and ask.
Does physiotherapy hurt?
Some exercises or techniques can feel uncomfortable, but treatment shouldn't be painful. Tell your physiotherapist how you're feeling and they will adjust the treatment.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your condition and how your body responds. Your physiotherapist will talk this through with you after the first assessment, rather than guessing in advance.
When should I see a doctor instead of a physiotherapist?
See a doctor, or call 108 or 112, if you have chest pain, sudden weakness or numbness, loss of bladder or bowel control, severe pain after an accident, or pain with a fever. If we think you need a doctor during your care, we'll tell you.
Your first visit
What happens at the first session?
We ask about your symptoms, your health and your daily life, check how you move, explain what we find in plain words, and agree a plan with you. Most people also leave with a few exercises to start.
What should I bring?
Any reports, scans, prescriptions or discharge papers you have, and a list of the medicines you take.
What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable clothes that let us see and move the painful area.
Can a family member come with me?
Yes, you're welcome to bring someone with you, at the clinic or at home.
Home visits
Do you come to my home?
Yes. We visit homes anywhere in Bhubaneswar, Puri and Cuttack. Tell us your area and a time that suits you, and we'll arrange a physiotherapist.
Who are home visits best for?
Older adults who find travelling hard, people recovering from an operation, and anyone with limited mobility.
What do I need to prepare at home?
A chair, a little clear floor space, comfortable clothes, and any reports or discharge papers you have.
Online sessions
Is online physiotherapy as good as a visit?
It's useful for follow-up advice, checking your exercises and staying on track. It works alongside hands-on care rather than replacing it, and we'll tell you if we think you need to be seen in person.
What do I need for an online session?
A phone, tablet or laptop with a camera, an internet connection, and a little space to move. We'll send the call details before your session.
Appointments and fees
Can I call or message outside working hours?
Yes. You can call or WhatsApp us at any time, day or night. Sessions themselves are by appointment.
How do I book?
Call or WhatsApp us, or send the enquiry form on this website. We'll get back to you to arrange a time.
Your privacy
What happens to the details I send on the form?
We use them only to contact you about your enquiry. They're stored securely and are not shared for marketing. Our privacy policy explains how long we keep them and how to ask us to delete them.
Is my health information shared with anyone?
We never sell your information or use it for marketing. It is seen by the MyHealers team handling your enquiry and care, and stored and delivered by trusted service providers that keep it secure, as our privacy policy explains.
Do you use cookies to track me?
No. We measure visits in a way that doesn't use tracking cookies or identify you personally.
